Effect of particle shape on particle breakage inside rotating cylinders

چکیده

We study the influence of particle shape on evolution breakage process taking place inside rotating cylinders. Extensive dynamics simulations into account granular flow, breakage, and polygonal shapes were carried out. find that rate is faster in samples composed initially rounder particles. The analysis active flowing layer thickness suggests for particles a relatively lower dilatancy higher connectivity lead to less curved free surface profile. As result, rolling down have mobility thus velocities. In consequence, observed initial due larger kinetic energy at toe flow.
